Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 10, 2026
1. General Information
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Spanish language courses and services offered by ToDo Spanish in Vancouver, British Columbia, and online.
We offer online group courses, private lessons, conversation classes, tutoring, corporate training, and other Spanish language programs.
By registering for a course, booking a lesson, or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, as well as our Cancellation and Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and Legal Notice.
2. Registration and Enrollment
Your place in a ToDo Spanish course or lesson is confirmed once payment has been received. A registration request or inquiry does not guarantee a place until payment is completed.
When registering, please make sure the information you provide, including your contact details, is accurate and up to date. This helps us communicate with you and provide the right services for your needs.
Course availability depends on enrolment and scheduling.
3. Course Information and Changes
Course schedules, levels, descriptions, and prices are provided before registration.
ToDo Spanish reserves the right to make reasonable changes to schedules, instructors, course materials, or course formats when necessary to ensure the continuity and quality of instruction.
A change of instructor does not constitute grounds for a refund, provided that the course continues as scheduled and maintains the expected educational standards.
4. Teacher Availability
If a teacher is unexpectedly unavailable due to an emergency or circumstances beyond their control, ToDo Spanish will make reasonable efforts to arrange a substitute teacher whenever possible. If a substitute teacher cannot be arranged, the class or lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
5. Payments and Taxes
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). A 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be added to all published fees.
ToDo Spanish accepts payments through methods such as Interac e-Transfer and bank deposits.
Payment deadlines are as follows:
– Private lessons: Payment must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, unless otherwise agreed.
– Group courses: Payment must be received at least 3 days before the course start date.
Although these are the payment deadlines, we kindly encourage students to complete payment as early as possible. Early payment allows ToDo Spanish to better plan courses, schedules, and other educational activities.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation, refund, rescheduling, and transfer conditions are described in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
7. Attendance and Missed Classes
Students are responsible for attending scheduled classes and lessons.
Missed group classes and private lessons are subject to the conditions described in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
When available, ToDo Spanish may offer alternative learning opportunities for missed classes; however, these opportunities are not guaranteed.
8. Private Lesson Policies
Private lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled according to the notice period established in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Late cancellations and no-shows may result in the lesson being charged in full.
Students who arrive late may still attend the lesson, but the lesson will end at the originally scheduled time.
9. Student Responsibilities and Code of Conduct
We want our classes to be welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone. Students are expected to:
– Treat teachers and classmates with respect;
– Participate positively in class;
– Follow reasonable instructions from teachers;
– Avoid behaviour that disrupts the learning experience; and
– Not record, reproduce, or share class content without prior authorization.
If a student's behaviour significantly affects the learning environment, ToDo Spanish may take appropriate steps to address the situation.
10. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
All course materials provided by ToDo Spanish, including worksheets, activities, lesson materials, and educational resources, are intended for personal learning use only.
Students may not copy, distribute, modify, share, or commercially use ToDo Spanish materials without prior written authorization.
11. Online Class Requirements
For online classes, students should have:
– A suitable device;
– A reliable internet connection; and
– Working audio and video equipment when needed.
We understand that technical problems can happen. However, technical difficulties on the student's side do not normally qualify for a refund or rescheduling.
12. Recordings, Photos, and Testimonials
We respect our students' privacy. Classes will only be recorded with the consent of all participants.
If we would like to use a student's photo, testimonial, feedback, or other identifiable information for promotional purposes, we will ask for permission first.
13. Corporate Training and Special Programs
Corporate training programs, private group courses, and special arrangements may have specific terms regarding scheduling, payment, cancellations, and participant numbers.
These conditions will be communicated and agreed upon before the beginning of the program.
14. Educational Results
ToDo Spanish provides language instruction designed to support student progress. However, learning outcomes depend on individual effort, attendance, participation, and practice outside the classroom.
ToDo Spanish does not guarantee a specific level of language proficiency within a specific timeframe.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
