I worked with Bolivia for three or four years to improve my understanding and use of the Spanish language. The sessions were always one on one and in a comfortable setting. Bolivia was always easy to work with, and very encouraging and supportive of my efforts to learn. I especially appreciated accomplishing completion of the Beginning Level workbook on learning Espanol, and beginning to work our way through the Intermediate Level workbook. I would recommend Bolivia to anyone Interested in working to improve their Spanish language skills.

Bolivia is FANTASTIC!

We met Bolivia when I was looking for a teacher that could help me build a foundation of Spanish-speaking for my children.I am Mexican born and raised, so I had assumed that my knowledge of the language would be enough to have my children speak it. As I discovered, not just because I am a native Spanish speaker, I can pass my knowledge of the language to my children at a level that is deeper and more meaningful (so, beyond the basics).

I started taking lessons from Bolivia around 2 years ago and it’s been an awesome experience. Bolivia breaks down the lessons into fun segments covering all you will need to be a great Spanish speaker. She is patient and always makes sure you understand before continuing. If you're looking for a Spanish teacher, I couldn’t recommend anyone better.

Bolivia has been tutoring me for years and she is an excellent teacher! My Spanish has improved greatly, as she always has relevant examples, and is very patient with me. I have workbooks that I use, and she supplements those with appropriate materials for my level. Bolivia has an excellent command of the English language, which is very useful when trying to explain subtle differences and nuances in meaning. And she is very friendly and fun to work with - we even met up once in Mexico for a casual class at the bar, when we both happened to be in the same city! Muchas Gracias!

Bolivia is a truly wonderful Spanish teacher and person. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Under Bolivia's guidance, my Spanish comprehension and fluency have improved tremendously. I have lived in Latin America and Bolivia is absolutely the best Spanish teacher I have ever met. Bolivia's dedication and passion for teaching Spanish are evident in every lesson. Her ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner is truly remarkable. She creates a supportive, engaging, and fun learning environment that encourages students to actively participate and grow in their language abilities. Thanks to Bolivia's expertise and encouragement, my Spanish has improved significantly, and I feel confident to travel, work and converse in Spanish. I am very grateful to know Bolivia and for her invaluable contribution to my language journey.

I had the good fortune to have a few lessons with Bolivia just before the pandemic started and we started online classes when the world came to a stop. Bolivia has helped me immensely and I have made steady progress in learning Spanish. She is a wonderful teacher and is always engaging, supportive and entertaining. She uses a variety of materials such as songs, travel videos, book excerpts and online quizzes to teach Spanish as a living, everyday language.

Gracias a Bolivia, estoy descubriendo el mundo hispanoparlante, las películas, la musica, los periódicos y los libros y finalmente, los viajes. "El español se ha hecho mi segundo idioma y tengo muchas ganas de aprender más en los años que vienen."

Hi there! I first hired Bolivia 7 years ago when I needed to learn Spanish to speak to my wife's parents as they are Mexican and don’t speak any English at all. I never learned Spanish in high school and only spoke English so you can imagine the predicament I was in; learning a new language at 28. I studied with Bolivia for 2 hours per week and over the course of 2 years I transformed from someone who only knew "cerveza" or "hola" to one who confidently spoke Spanish; Even to the point where I would translate for my Canadian family and friends when we went on trips and no-one spoke Spanish. This is ALL due to Bolivia - her patient and understanding nature with teaching is amazing. I was provided Homework with no judgement when life/work got too busy. I consider Bolivia a friend and We have met in foreign countries to practice Spanish and also practiced via text message/online methods. I still study with Bolivia and will never move-on. As my ability increases she pushes me more while fine tuning the previous lessons. Maybe one day I will be able to speak as fast as everyone else! :) Funny fact! When I had to translate my wedding speech in Mexico to a majority Spanish only crowd, it was Bolivia who I sent the speech on the wedding day for proofreading and adjustments. I promptly received her reply and she saved the day for me!

When I was looking for an on-line Spanish teacher, I had la suerte, the luck, to find Bolivia. She has been my Spanish tutor for almost five years. Over those years, I have taken short breaks from my lessons, but each time I return, Bolivia is there to continue with her encouragement and expertise. She is quick to adapt her teaching methods to my needs. We veer from concentrating on grammar when I am writing short anecdotes about my childhood, to having hour-long conversations in preparation for my up-coming trip to Spain. She has an unlimited supply of listening and reading exercises that we can do together or I can do as my homework. I am an "older student", but I am confident that Bolivia is an excellent Spanish tutor for students of any age. With no hesitation, I highly recommend her.

I have been learning Spanish with Bolivia for some time now and I have to say I love the language even more, because of the way Bolivia is teaching it. She’s very knowledgeable and she always makes sure I understand everything before moving on to the next topic. She’s a great teacher; she is always available even when I practice on my own and I have questions. Bolivia has an amazing way of breaking things down so that they are understandable and always keeping it light and fun. Her manner of teaching is so wonderful and refreshing! She’s patient and supportive and really knows how to motivate me. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning Spanish.

Bolivia is an excellent teacher. She is organized and fully understands what her students need to learn in Spanish. She has a delightful sense of humor and the hour always flies by very quickly. She is well educated, reliable and mature. She is everything one needs in a teacher to progress and to really learn a foreign language.
